Some shops run their maintenance plans on a handshake; others use a signed agreement that spells out the benefits and terms. If your plan uses one, Escape handles the paperwork.

How it works

  1. A customer joins your plan — see Your maintenance plans.
  2. The agreement goes out automatically — the customer gets your membership agreement to review and sign electronically, right from their phone. No printing, no scanning, no "I'll drop it by."
  3. Reminders chase the signature. If the customer doesn't sign right away, Escape nudges them — politely and automatically — until they do.
  4. Everything stops once it's signed. The reminders end, the signed agreement is stored on the customer's record, and the membership rolls on.

Why bother with agreements?

A signed agreement sets expectations on both sides: what's included, what's not, what happens at renewal. When a question comes up two years later — "I thought my plan covered that" — the answer is on file, attached to the customer, one click away.

What your team should do

  • Nothing to send, nothing to track. The sending and chasing are automatic.
  • Finding a signed agreement: open the customer's contact record — the signed document lives with their history.
  • Customer says they never got it? Check their contact info is right, then look at the conversation thread — the send is visible there. Still stuck? Contact support.

No agreement on your plan?

That's fine too — plenty of shops run plans without one. If you don't use agreements, this whole flow simply stays off. Want to start using one? Talk to Escape support and we'll set it up with your document.
